Compare FWD vs RWD Vehicles

Most of the cars on the market today are either front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. Neither one is really better than the other. Each type has its own set of pros and cons. The one right for you depends on what you want in a car.

The biggest pro of front-wheel drive is that it gets better traction in poor weather conditions. This is especially true in snow. Rear-wheel drive cars slip around more in the snow, and this is a con for the rear-wheel drive. Great handling is certainly a pro for rear-wheel drive. These cars are easy to steer and maneuver at higher speeds. Front-wheel drive cars are harder to steer at higher speeds. Most front-wheel drive cars make better gas mileage as compared with rear-wheel drive vehicles.

Tony Hyundai Honolulu has a selection of both front and rear-wheel drive vehicles in our new Hyundai inventory. The staff would be happy to answer questions about any vehicle.
